Pastel Green Snorkel Valiant. Length capped – 5 1/2. In 1952 Sheaffer introduced new Thin Model pens with the innovative Snorkel filling system. Without fanfare, they added a solid 14k gold Snorkel tube, and it was many years later that a couple collectors sent a tube for assay and announced the news that those 1st year tubes were pretty unusual. This pastel green White Dot Valiant is an example from 1952. It is in excellent restored condition. The Snorkel filling system was rebuilt with new sac, O ring, and point seal; the nib was smoothed and adjusted; the plastic surfaces were refinished; and then the pen was thoroughly cleaned and tested.
