Working vintage 1940s Fountain Pen, Made in Canada w/ an Canadian Waterman nib, Very nice nib :- , The cap & Barrel are crack free & sturdy (Very straight) and very functional :- a very sturdy approx 75 year old pen that you can use :- , the cap threads on and posts very well – The pen has very clear factory imprints, the cap trim is excellent with no brassing that I see (Tight Cap Bands) – The Waterman lever is sturdy and works very well as it should. A full 6 & 3/16″ posted and 5 & 1/16″ capped. The feed has been ultrasonically cleaned for good ink flow – the lever works well with a good inner pressure bar & a brand new quality ink sac just installed. IDEAL #2A 14K Gold Nib , The nib is a very nice writer (See writing sample please), Not a super flex, but a very nice Fine Point semi Flex Very controllable nib… (PLEASE SEE THE NIB PHOTOS) the tip is a Fine point, finer with a light hand, with good Iridium tipping, nice line variation, Flexing from fine point to 1.3 mm possible but I would stay at 1.1mm or below for nib longevity, When you want some line variation, it goes from a fine point to a wider line as shown with medium to heavier pressure, it has a nice easy soft feel. It will provide excellent line variation & expression. The writing sample was made by actually filling the pen & writing with it, the writing sample shown will come with the pen. The Paper is from a Rhodia Dotpad No. 16, the dots are 5mm apart to help you gauge the line variation. The inks are Waterman South Sea Blue(inspired), & Diamine Monaco Red.
