Vintage Conklin Endura Ring Top Fountain Pen. Very fine pt Nib- w/ some flex. Please enlarge all 12 photos & read all the text for detail. Working vintage pen , Circa 1930s , a Very collectible pen and a very usable a Writing Tool also :- It is ready to fill with ink & write :- – the cap is a factory original’clip-less’ pen with a Ring Top – The Crescent logo can be seen on the cap in photo #5 , The Gold Pearl & Black Celluloid is truly excellent, no cracks, no warp, no personal engraving, Great color , Very nice shine, The factory imprints on the barrel are clear but the word “Endura” is week. This is threaded cap, The cap threads on perfectly and posts very well. The gold filled trim is near perfect, The 2 trim rings are tight, I see no brassing, the pen was restored before I obtained it and it has a recent ink sac, the lever works perfectly & fills with ink perfectly. The lever is gold filled with nice factory markings as shown. Very nice Conklin Toledo Nib, 14K , Very fine point, or X-Fine , Nice smooth fine point with a light hand, with Excellent Iridium tipping :- , Semi or less than semi, but nice line variation as shown, going from (Needlepoint) to 0.9mm or 1.0mm possible max, When you want some line variation, it goes from a fine point to a wider line as shown with medium to heavier pressure. Deep channel feed = very good ink flow (some inks will perform better than others). The writing sample shown was made by actually filling the pen with ink & writing with it. (the writing sample will be included with the pen). Great for doodling , sketching , or expressive letter writing :- copperplate / Spencerian. The Paper is from a Rhodia Dotpad No. 16, the dots are 5mm apart to help you gauge the line variation. The inks are Waterman South Sea Blue (Inspired Blue) , & Diamine Monaco Red.
