The LAMY 2000 Fountain Pen with a brushed Stainless-Steel Clip (L01F) is the flagship pen of Lamy, a German company that has been perfecting the art of writing since the 1930s, close to 90 years of experience. In fact, the Lamy 2000 is so exceptional that it is on permanent display at the Museum of Modern Art, in addition to being selected for numerous awards and distinctions. The pen is constructed out of a blend of fine materials including fiberglass and brushed stainless-steel known as Makrolon. The unique materials has a soft velvet feeling and allows the pen to remain ultra-light and easy to use while at the same time it remains durable to withstand the daily dings and bumps. The Lamy 2000 L01F is equipped with a Fine Point Nib for clear and accurate writing. The nib is made out of 14 carat gold and is coated in platinum. The stainless-steel spring loaded clip at the top of the pen can be custom engraved. 4 cleverly designed windows near the nib let you know the amount of remaining ink left in the pen. The Lamy 2000 L01F uses a piston function for refilling. To use, simply unscrew the piston knob at the opposite end of the barrel, place the nib in an ink bottle until it is submerged and twist the piston to its original position. This will cause ink to fill up in the pens internal reservoir. Make sure to wipe off any excess ink that may be left on the nib. Pen may arrive with ink residue from testing and as always, it’s recommended to clean the pen before your initial use. Fountain pen uses LAMY ink T51 and T52.
