The “fat” Touchdown was produced in the year 1949 for just one year before it was replaced by the Thin Model Touchdown and then the Snorkel model, both slender profile pens. So this is the last of the Sheaffers with wide girth until the end of the 50s when they brought out the Pen For Men. This set is in excellent condition with perfect gold filled caps. The pen has a smooth fine point with new sac and seal, and the pencil works perfectly. I will include a copy of Sheaffer’s enclosure describing the filling system and more.
