Please enlarge all 12 photos & read all the text for detail. 1940s Waterman Pen, Great Full size pen with larger & Very Flexible Nib, not a mint pen, a little wear and honest use showing, a crack free & very presentable & VERY functional – Great Color, the color is Vivid Black w/ Gold filled Trim, the pen has no warp, no engraving, no cracks, perfect cap lip, the trim rings are tight, Very Sturdy & nicely styled pocket clip – The lever box is excellent & stress free. The filling mechanism works perfectly – the Gold filled is very bright, I see no brassing, The cap is a threaded cap and it fits on well and posts perfectly. Full size Waterman fountain pen, The pen is a full 6 & 1/8″ posted and 5 & 1/16″ capped. Very good size for writing, a beautiful user grade (or better) pen I feel, and with a Very nice nib :- a very good writing tool, the pen has a recently installed a new quality ink sac – Pen is ready to ink up & write :. Very nice “IDEAL” larger nib, 14K , (a #5 nib I think) clean & straight factory nib, (please see the close up photos of the nib) a nice very fine point , Very good iridium tipping, Smooth on Rhodia with a light hand, more feedback with pressure, you may get some tooth with pressure on cheap paper, But the nib has a Very soft easy flex feel, it is capable of a fine line to 1.2mm max with medium to heavier pressure (I would not go further to preserve the nib) NOT a wet noodle at all, more al dente ; or SEMI FLEX PLUS. The Paper is from a Rhodia Dotpad No. 16, the dots are 5mm apart to help you gauge the line variation. The pen was filled with ink to make the writing sample, The inks are Waterman South Sea Blue, & Diamine Monaco Red. The writing sample was made by actually filling the pen with ink and writing with it, the writing sample will be included with the pen. The cap threads on tightly & posts perfectly, – The plating on the lever is good, the plating on the pocket clip has visible brassing as shown – good clear factory imprints as shown. Very nice IDEAL #2 (New York) Nib , 14K , (PLEASE SEE THE NIB PHOTOS) the tip is a X-Fine, or even finer with a light hand. The point has a little feedback, but quite nice for such a fine point, with Excellent Iridium tipping (See photo) , nice line variation, Flexing to 1.7 mm possible but I would stay at 1.5mm or below for nib longevity, you will still have control for every day fine point writing with a light hand, NOT a wet noodle, But a controllable flex – When you want some line variation, it goes from a Very fine point to a wider line as shown with medium to heavier pressure, it has a nice easy soft feel. The cap threads on & posts very perfectly, – The original (Clip-Cap) Pocket clip is perfect & tightly riveted from the factory – & very functional. The factory imprints are clear, the “52” can clearly be seen on the end of the pen -the chasing is all good – the non chased areas have a nice shine- the pen has no warp, no cracks, & no personal names. Vintage Conklin Endura Ring Top Fountain Pen. Very fine pt Nib- w/ some flex. Please enlarge all 12 photos & read all the text for detail. Working vintage pen , Circa 1930s , a Very collectible pen and a very usable a Writing Tool also :- It is ready to fill with ink & write :- – the cap is a factory original’clip-less’ pen with a Ring Top – The Crescent logo can be seen on the cap in photo #5 , The Gold Pearl & Black Celluloid is truly excellent, no cracks, no warp, no personal engraving, Great color , Very nice shine, The factory imprints on the barrel are clear but the word “Endura” is week. This is threaded cap, The cap threads on perfectly and posts very well. The gold filled trim is near perfect, The 2 trim rings are tight, I see no brassing, the pen was restored before I obtained it and it has a recent ink sac, the lever works perfectly & fills with ink perfectly. The lever is gold filled with nice factory markings as shown. Very nice Conklin Toledo Nib, 14K , Very fine point, or X-Fine , Nice smooth fine point with a light hand, with Excellent Iridium tipping :- , Semi or less than semi, but nice line variation as shown, going from (Needlepoint) to 0.9mm or 1.0mm possible max, When you want some line variation, it goes from a fine point to a wider line as shown with medium to heavier pressure.
