VERY GOOD Burgundy Pen For Men III (PFM III). Length capped – 5 3/8. Point – Fine (slightly wet). This burgundy Pen For Men III is in very good restored condition. The pen has a new point seal, sac, and O ring. Plastic surfaces have been lightly refinished to eliminate visible scratches. I’ve tuned and smoothed the point and adjusted the ink flow for slightly wet medium flow. Sheaffer produced the five Pen For Men models between 1959 and 1968 and named them with roman numerals I through V. In 1963 they eliminated PFM I, II, and IV. I will include a photocopy of the original Sheaffer paper enclosure giving directions and other information. I guarantee the pens I restore write smoothly and fill as designed. Vintage Waterman 52 Fountain Pen. Working (New Ink Sac) Pen. VERY Nice Nib – BCHR :. Please enlarge all 12 photos & read all the text for detail. Working vintage (Classic that is in VERY STURDY User Grade Condition, and is ready to write) 1920s pen (approx 92 years old) Very sturdy & Very Clean condition – only problems are a rub mark (wear spot) on the bottom of the barrel (see photos#6&7) the original pocket clip is missing, so I added a vintage accommodation pocket clip that is very functional (orig clip holes are clean) and general use, wear, patina and fade on the barrel, the pen is dark chocolate color hard rubber, Concerning the cap; It is an original 1920s Waterman cap, but it is not original to this pen – the cap fits & posts on this pen perfectly – the pen is chased (worn). Crack Free Pen – The cap has a perfect cap lip. FULL SIZE PEN – a very usable a Writing Tool , It is ready to fill with ink & write :- crack & warp free & a very sturdy pen with a very nice nib :- – no personal names, The lever works very well with the brand new quality ink sac that was just installed , the feed was ultrasonically cleaned – DEEP INK CHANNEL :- Good ink flow , Very nice writer. The Lever box assembly is Excellent – Very sturdy. The factory imprints are worn but still readable, the “52” can clearly be seen on the end of the pen. Very nice IDEAL #2 Nib , 14K Gold – Very nice controllable semi Flex , (PLEASE SEE THE NIB PHOTOS) the tip is a X-Fine point, or even finer with a light hand. The point has a little feedback (like a well sharpened pencil) , but quite nice for such a fine point, with Excellent Iridium tipping (See photo) , nice line variation, Flexing x fine to 1.2 mm possible but I would stay at 1.0mm or below for nib longevity, you will still have control for every day fine point writing with a light hand, NOT a super flex – When you want some line variation, it goes from a Very fine point to a wider line as shown with to medium to heavier pressure, it has a nice easy soft feel. It will provide excellent line variation & expression. Great for and Artist! Or for small writing , and or everyday writing (with expression), for doodling , sketching , or every day note taking and/or expressive letter writing :- copperplate / Spencerian. The writing sample was made by actually filling the pen with ink & writing with it, The writing sample will come with the pen, The Paper is from a Rhodia Dotpad No. 16, the dots are 5mm apart to help you gauge the line variation. Restored Sheaffer Very Good Black Pen For Men I. (PFM I), Fine Point. Length capped – 5 3/8. The Pens For Men, which ironically were highly unpopular in their day, have now become one of the most sought after Sheaffers. They were produced from 1959 through 1968, with all but the PFM III and V withdrawn by 1962. This example, a PFM I, has chrome trim and PdAg (palladium silver) inlaid nib. It is a very smooth writing pen with medium ink flow and all new wear parts–point and barrel end seals and PVC sac.
