Restored Sheaffer EXCELLENT Pastel Green 1ST YEAR Snorkel Clipper, Fine Point. Length capped – 5 1/2. Point – Fine (slightly wet). The Clipper is Sheaffer’s stainless-steel capped White Dot model with palladium silver nib. When Sheaffer introduced the Snorkel in 1952, they installed 14k gold tubes on all models, whether White Dot or not. This fact wasn’t publicized, and some time later a couple collectors sent some of these tubes to a salvage company for testing. They learned that the tubes were, in fact, solid 14k. Tubes used after the first year were stainless steel. This example is excellent. It’s had a full restoration, including nib tuning and new seals and sac. I’ll include a copy of Sheaffer’s original enclosure giving directions on refilling a Snorkel. I guarantee the pens I restore write smoothly and fill as designed.
