EXCELLENT 1ST YEAR Burgundy Snorkel Clipper. Medium to Fine Point. Length capped – 5 1/2. This first-year burgundy Clipper is in excellent restored condition. There are no faults. Clippers feature palladium silver nibs. Palladium is known for its excellent ink flow characteristics and was used as a mask material on Sheaffer’s best gold nibs for decades. First-year Snorkels (1952) had solid gold Snorkel tubes installed by Sheaffer with no advertising or announcement. A few years later a couple collectors discovered the fact when they sent a tube for assay. I will include a photocopy of the original Sheaffer Snorkel paper instructions leaflet that came with every Snorkel pen. Replacement of all seals and the sac. Smoothing and adjusting the nib.
