Vintage Waterman 52V Fountain Pen. Working (New Ink Sac) Pen / Flex Nib. Please enlarge all 12 photos & read all the text for detail. This is a Great Pocket size pen for an artist, or fine point writer :. This is a collectible 1920s fountain pen, and also a very functional writing tool. This 52V is very sturdy & in good condition for a writer and for a collectible , as it is very straight & crack free, perfect cap lip – the condition is well preserved, with Very Clear chasing & nice clear imprints, The hard rubber has minimal to no Fade, a very dark pen – the nib is excellent & the filler is restored to working as designed. There are no personal engravings, No cracks no warp, no chips, Perfect cap lip -Brand New quality ink sac just installed, The filling system works perfectly, Good pressure bar & a bright sturdy lever box with a lever that’snaps’ into the at rest position as it should. The cap threads on very well (tightly) & posts perfectly. (very sturdy & functional clip). Ready to ink & Write :- The feed has been ultrasonically cleaned & heat set to the nib, deep ink channel, good ink flow. (and a new quality ink sac :-). A Pocket Size Pen – It is approx 5 & 9/16″ Posted, and 4 & 3/8″ capped. Would be a great pen for an Artist ot Writer, or some one who likes an expressive Very Fine Point Nib :. Beautiful IDEAL # 2 Nib, 14K Gold, – (please see the close up photos of the nib) very nib with graceful tines, with perfect iridium (see photo), smooth for a X fine Point (XX fine with a light hand)- Good ink flow, a very good performer. Very controllable fine line flex, with wonderful line variation going from X fine to 1.2m max, though I would stay at 1.0mm for nib preservation, Still nice line variation, NOT a Wet noodle.. But very controlable flex, Please see the writing sample. When you want some line variation, it goes from a fine point to a wider line as shown with medium to heavier pressure, it will provide excellent line variation & expression. Great for doodling , sketching , or every day fine point note taking and/or expressive letter writing :- copperplate / Spencerian :. The Paper is from a Rhodia Dotpad No. 16, the dots are 5mm apart to help you gauge the line variation. The inks are Waterman South Sea Blue(inspired), & Diamine Monaco Red. & Diamine Jade Green.
